About the Organization
Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to the surface via a modern 1080m deep shaft capable of 4800tpd.

About the Opportunity
Lake Shore Gold is seeking a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Geology Co-Op Student to support the Exploration and site Geology teams at our Timmins West Mine and Bell Creek Mine sites in Timmins, Ontario.
Responsibilities of the Geology Co-Op Student include:
•Work both on surface and in underground environments
•Log core from either mine sites or from surface exploration projects (primary responsibility)
•Assist with field work (mapping, sampling, scouting and prospecting)
•Assist mine geology personnel in their day-to-day activities
•Data entry, filing, and excellent computer skills will be required.
•You will be required to work with DHLogger, Datamine, possibly Deswik, and Microsoft Office.
•Special projects as may be assigned from time to time
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required
•A valid driver’s licence is required
More About You
Students must be currently enrolled in a geology or earth science program to be eligible. Proof of eligibility is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate Lake Shore Gold’s core values in Safety Health and the Environment and will meet the requirements of its Code of Conduct. Students must have access to a vehicle or arrange car-pooling as public transportation is not available. Company provided living arrangements are available. The placements will run from January and December 2026. This can be organized as a full year placement or in two separate placements from January to August 2026 and from September to December 2026.
